Sometimes big savings can come in small packages. We were recently asked to work with an organization to discover any potential savings in their Small Package spend. Our client uses small boxes to distribute their products nationally, which meant their Small Package spend was filled with opportunities for savings.
What Happened:
As soon as we were retained, we helped our client properly prioritize the need to grow their e-commerce initiatives. Our client’s annual spend was $850,000 but after benchmarking their current rate with UPS we were able to transition them to FedEx, one of our strategic partners, and achieve a 30% savings. This move led to a savings of $20,000 a month, or $240,000 annually, which they enjoy to this day.
